Technical Project Manager

Lead customer deployments of the Navion Logistics Platform and coordinate successful rollout of its four connected modules across engineering, dispatch, and back-office teams.

About Navion

Navion helps logistics operators move from reactive, labor-heavy workflows toward more efficient, increasingly agentic operations. The Navion Logistics Platform removes friction across the order-to-cash workflow by connecting planning, ordering, execution, visibility, and billing into a more continuous operational flow.

Our platform includes four connected components: KeepFill (Inventory Intelligence & Automated Replenishment), SPOT (Unstructured Order Intake Turned into Actionable Work), Portal (Real-Time Visibility Across Orders and Documents), and BackOffice (Order-to-Invoice Reconciliation and Billing Readiness).

Navion works alongside existing TMS and document systems, helping carriers reduce manual work, improve workflow continuity, and scale without adding unnecessary complexity.

Position Summary

Navion is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead customer deployments of the Navion Logistics Platform and coordinate the successful rollout of its four connected modules.

This role sits at the center of implementation success. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for organizing deployment plans, aligning internal engineering resources, managing customer-side stakeholders, and helping operational teams move through change with clarity and confidence. This includes working closely with skeptical dispatch teams, translating operational friction into structured implementation priorities, and keeping projects moving toward measurable adoption.

The right candidate can operate comfortably between technical and operational worlds. They can guide engineers through execution, earn trust with frontline users, manage ambiguity, and create order across moving parts. This role carries deployment ownership from kickoff through go-live and stabilization, then transitions the customer into a strong handoff with Navion's Customer Success Team.

This is an AI-native role. The Technical Project Manager we hire already runs AI across their delivery work today — synthesizing status across workstreams, drafting documentation at scale, flagging risk signals, automating stakeholder updates, and building reusable implementation playbooks the whole delivery team can build on. We are not hiring someone we will teach AI to. We are hiring someone who will push our delivery practice forward and raise the team's floor.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end deployment of the Navion Logistics Platform across KeepFill, SPOT, Portal, and BackOffice.
  • Build and manage implementation plans, timelines, workstreams, dependencies, milestones, and risk tracking across internal and external teams.
  • Serve as the primary deployment lead between Navion engineering, customer stakeholders, dispatch users, and post-launch customer success.
  • Coordinate internal technical resources to ensure integrations, configurations, data readiness, testing, and issue resolution stay aligned to deployment goals.
  • Facilitate implementation meetings, status reviews, working sessions, and executive updates with clear documentation and follow-through.
  • Translate customer workflows, operational friction points, and deployment requirements into actionable plans for product and engineering teams.
  • Work directly with dispatch, operations, and back-office stakeholders to drive alignment, surface resistance early, and support change management throughout the rollout.
  • Help skeptical or change-resistant users understand how Navion fits within their workflow and how successful adoption reduces friction rather than adding complexity.
  • Track open issues, blockers, decisions, and rollout readiness across all phases of deployment.
  • Oversee go-live coordination, stabilization, and early adoption monitoring to ensure the platform is functioning effectively in real operating conditions.
  • Prepare a clean operational and relationship handoff to Navion's Customer Success Team once deployment goals are met and the customer is positioned for long-term success.
  • Continuously improve implementation playbooks, deployment standards, communication cadences, and cross-functional coordination practices as Navion scales.
  • Operate an AI-augmented delivery motion. Build and share reusable workflows for status synthesis, risk surfacing, documentation generation, and stakeholder communication — scaling yourself across more projects, more complexity, and faster cycles than traditional project management allows.

Who You Are

You are highly organized, technically credible, and operationally grounded. You know how to bring structure to complex projects without becoming rigid. You can manage engineers, communicate with executives, and earn trust from frontline operators who may be skeptical of new systems.

You stay calm under pressure, drive accountability without drama, and keep teams aligned around outcomes. You are comfortable operating in environments where the software is evolving, the customer's process is imperfect, and success depends as much on human coordination as technical execution.

You understand that deployment is not complete when software is installed — it is complete when teams are using it successfully and the operation is ready to move forward.

You are already an AI power user. You have real opinions about prompting, context engineering, and where agentic tools belong in a delivery workflow versus where they introduce more risk than they remove. You build custom workflows, automate the routine, and share what works because a playbook that helps one PM should help all of them. If this does not describe you today, this is not the right role.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management, implementation, deployment, solutions delivery, or a similar cross-functional role.
  • Experience leading complex software deployments involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, and technical dependencies.
  • Ability to manage both internal technical teams and external customer stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
  • Experience facilitating implementations that require process change, user adoption, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Strong working knowledge of software deployment practices, system integrations, configuration management, issue tracking, and rollout coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into operationally understandable language.
  • Strong project planning discipline, including ownership of timelines, action items, risks, dependencies, and executive visibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and drive momentum in fast-moving environments.
  • Demonstrated, active use of AI in your current project management work — concrete examples of workflows, automations, or reusable skills you have built and shared. Candidates who see AI as a side project or a future skill will not be a fit.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, fuel distribution, field operations, or related operational environments.
  • Experience working with dispatch teams, back-office teams, or other workflow-heavy operational groups.
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms, order workflows, operational documents, and order-to-cash processes.
  • Experience deploying workflow software into real-world operational environments where frontline adoption is critical.
  • Background working in SaaS, logistics technology, industrial technology, or implementation-led growth companies.
  • Experience supporting post-go-live stabilization and structured customer handoff into account management or customer success.
